A couple tidbits to tide us over

I've FINALLY slogged through an assortment of Rhinos-related documents — the original NBT Bank loan notes, the NBT lawsuit, the Multi-Party Agreement, the Ground Lease with the city — and I've scrounged up some pretty interesting stuff.

However, it's getting really late tonight, so I'll write more about all this Rhinos stuff for Monday morning. But in the meantime, here are a couple of eyebrow-raising morsels that flew in under the radar in the pages of the D&C this week:

• The Rattlers are going to play a regular-season game against Philadelphia in Cary, N.C., this summer. (That's assuming the Rattlers even HAVE a season this summer.) In an e-mail to me, one reader posed a provoking question: Does this portend a permanent move to the Tar Heel State for the Rattlers?

• The Rhinos' dance team, the Rhinestones, have scheduled tryouts for March 8-9. Hopefully they'll have a team to dance this summer.

1 Comments:

  • The game is in Carey because of the Barrage not the Rattlers. The Barrage draw almost nobody in Philly and have no owner at the moment. The league is running the team and moving them around to see where they are gonna play next year. While they are still Philadelphia they are only playing like two games in their home city.
