What's on deck

I'm generally gonna take tonight off blog-wise, but I have a bunch of stuff coming up over the next several days:

• Sometime tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon or night I'll write about my interview today with Soccer Sam. We had a great 45-minute conversation at the Mona Lisa Café in Webster, and Sam dropped a few bombshells. Among them: If the Dan Williams deal goes through, Soccer Sam will be retired. He also said this: "The biggest mistake in the history of soccer in Rochester and Monroe County was (the Rhinos) building PAETEC Park and leaving Frontier Field."

I might have a little something about the possibility of a NYS Comptroller audit of PAETEC Park Thursday.

• Sometime Friday I will, as promised, write up my analysis of the NBT Bank loans, the multi-party agreement and the ground lease.

• For Saturday and Sunday ... I've promised myself that I won't write anything Rochester Sports Group-related over the weekend — I seriously need a break from all the zaniness. Instead, I'll have new posts about the Greater Rochester Outdoor Sports Facility Corporation (the board that runs Frontier Field) and the ESL Centre.

• Sometime Monday I'll hopefully have an in-depth look at the LeChase lawsuit against the Rhinos. I also might have some details about the tax warrant that's been issued for the Knighthawks.

And, as always, I encourage your input, either by posting comments or contacting me directly. I'm at (315) 690-6551 or rwhirty218@yahoo.com.
